This book is the result of a collaboration between the Institute for Climate Protection, Energy and Mobility (IKEM) and Ellery Studio that began in the summer of 2017. During this six-month long process IKEM and Ellery plowed through stacks of white papers and reports. We worked with a crack team of researchers, visual artists, and designers to distill technical information on energy policy and subsidies into the fun and accessible illustrations that appear in this book. IKEM brought in a team with a great deal of scientific expertise and Ellery translated their research into visuals that can be easily understood and engaged with.
